Michael Annett hopes to continue a strong season on road courses this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Iowa native has averaged a finish of 9.4 in the five roadcourse races so far this season.
Annett finished a solid ninth in his first trip to the 2.439-mile course inside Indianapolis in the series’ debut last season.
Annett will carry the colors of Allstate Peterbilt Group this weekend for the second time this season in honor of Allstate’s 50th anniversary. Headquartered in Eagan, Minn., Allstate Peterbilt Group has been a longtime supporter of Annett during his racing career.
“Our No. 1 Chevrolet has been really good on road courses so far this season, and I’ll be looking for another solid finish this weekend at Indy. We had good speed at Watkins Glen, and Bummy (crew chief Mike Bumgarner) and the guys have been working hard to bring good cars to the track. This is a vital stretch for us regarding the playoffs, and we need a good, solid run. Special thanks to Allstate Peterbilt Group and congratulations on celebrating their 50th anniversary.” - Michael Annett
